Discovering Dubbo’s Live Music Scene at Crossroads Bar

Hey, what did I do last Saturday?

I finally checked out the Crossroads Bar in Dubbo, and it was such a pleasant surprise! I wasn’t expecting much, but the live music scene there is seriously vibrant. The best part of the night was catching a performance by this alt-grunge band called Hope Held Hostage.

They’ve got this awesome mix of influences from Silverchair, Alice in Chains, and Audioslave, and their set was just pure energy—think heavy guitar riffs and vocals that really hit you. The whole vibe of the place, with its cozy, rustic charm, just made it even better. If you’re ever in Dubbo and looking for a cool spot with great live music, you’ve got to check it out!

Last Saturday, I enjoyed attending one of Dubbo's most anticipated events, the Under Western Skies music festival. A celebration of Central West culture, this event perfectly fused the vibrant sounds of live music, craft beer's artisanal richness, and local food's flavorful diversity.
